I didn’t plan to be a lawyer.
But over time, I realized what I enjoyed most was helping people make decisions when everything felt uncertain, complicated, or just... messy.

I immigrated to Canada after elementary school, and the transition wasn’t easy. It took some grit to become fully bilingual in English and Korean. I know how daunting it can be to navigate the legal system as an immigrant and a layperson. So I want to help.

My legal work spans civil litigation, family matters, employment issues, small claims, and landlord-tenant disputes. But beyond the categories, what drives me is solving real problems. Whether it’s a breached agreement, a failing tenancy, or a family breaking apart, I aim to help untangle what’s difficult and make it manageable.

Before becoming a lawyer, I studied commerce and finance at the University of Toronto. I also spent time abroad, studying at Hong Kong University and in Nairobi, Kenya, where I learned how economics, psychology, and conflict intersect in real-world settings. Later, I worked in public relations at Edelman, where I learned how to tell stories that move people. That skill turned out to be surprisingly useful in litigation.

I studied law in Los Angeles, right in Koreatown, because I wanted to work closely with the Korean diaspora community. I still do.

I believe legal advice should be clear, affordable, and grounded in reality. Not everything needs to turn into a lawsuit. Sometimes, you just need someone who can explain the law plainly, tell you what matters, and help you move forward.

I work with clients who are tired of confusion, looking for clarity, and ready to get things done.
